This unique bride came to us with a vision. She wanted vintage, rustic poster style wedding invitations, but with flare and color. We incorporated all the colors her bridesmaids would be wearing, including brown, burgundy, green, purple and orange, into over-sized invitations with swirl accents and multiple fonts. We designed a custom map card with directions to the venue and a small reception card asking their guests to join them in the barn for “good food, good drinks and a great time.” The RSVP postcard was full of flare with cute and clever response options and space to include a song to make you boogie. And of course the fun didn’t stop there, the matching ceremony programs continued the theme and playful wording too!
FUN FRIDAY: Road Map Reception Program This fabulous couple loves traveling and road trips, and they have the pictures to prove it. To reflect their travel-themed wedding reception, we created custom “Road Maps” for their reception programs featuring primary colors, lots of pictures and a map of the US showing where they have traveled. The front, cleverly titled “Oh! The Places We Will Go,” shows photos of the couple at various State Line signs. The two inner panels include a menu for the reception with photos and descriptions of the food stations and their Cookie Table, and a “mixtape” listing some of the songs that would be played at the reception and why they were chosen. When you open the road map, you find a map of the U.S. adorned with photos of the couple’s travels and markers for some of their favorite spots. A yellow insert lists their top 10 places to visit with descriptions of why they love them, with an additional 23 places listed along side the map inside. Finally, the back lists the couple’s “road trip buddies” consisting of their wedding party and family members, complete with quirky descriptions and inside jokes. I’m sure the guests at this reception had just as much fun reading through this map, as I did designing it!
This bride loved our floral swirl wedding invitations, but wanted a fall theme for her November wedding. So we created custom invitations for her wedding by replacing the flowers with burgundy fall leaves paired with charcoal gray swirls and a burgundy border. The burgundy leaves and charcoal swirls continued to the RSVP card and directions card, which featured a custom map on the back. We also created matching day-of stationery, including ceremony programs, seating chart poster, table numbers and drink menu sign.

These formal black letterpress wedding invitations feature a fancy script font and scroll in black ink on ecru cotton with black linen backing. The invitation is accompanied by matching reception card, response card, and map card with parking instructions. You may remember this bride’s formal black and cream save-the-date card featured in an earlier blog 
We also created matching booklet ceremony programs featuring the same fancy black script and scroll, printed digitally on cream linen card stock with black ribbon strung through the spine. The program included a front cover with four inside pages for the wedding party, ceremony order, in memory section and thank you, followed by the reception information and the couple’s new address on the inside back cover.
FUN FRIDAY: Not Your Ordinary Vintage Poster Style Invitations
These swirl wedding invitations feature royal blue leafy vines and border with apple green accents. The matching round ceremony program fans feature the swirly vines in apple green with a royal blue background and apple green dots. The front of the program features the couples’ names, wedding date and location, with the back lists the ceremony order, wedding party, and thank you to their guests. Apple green and royal blue ribbon was added as streamers from the bottom of the fan.
These formal wedding invitations are perfect for the traditional bride wanting a modern twist. Rather than black and white, these invitations feature a dark eggplant purple background with white text and a large gray monogram. A simple two-line angled border and swirling scroll are also used throughout the suite, including an RSVP, accommodations card and tall & thin folding ceremony programs. The white belly band featuring the same large monogram now in dark purple and gray border wraps the invitation and enclosure cards.
