FUN FRIDAY: Surprise 50th Birthday Party Invitations
Designing these custom party invitations was extra special because they were created with love for my mom’s 50th birthday. My dad, sisters, brother and I wanted to surprise my mom with a party to celebrate her big day, so the first step was planning the surprise and inviting the people. What better way then with these ultra fun and modern invitations featuring a hot pink and baby pink damask background and a modern-shaped frame in black with chartreuse green accents and envelopes. Why these colors, you may ask. We had to use a black background for the not-so-Over-the-Hill birthday, and pink, pink and more pink because my mom loves pink. I couldn’t leave the design in just pink and black because that’s a little too sweet sixteen for my mom, so the modern chartreuse accents completed the look! I even threw in the same damask background on the back of the card with another reminder that it’s a surprise party and when the guests should arrive. The invitations were a huge hit, and the party was an even bigger success!

The save-the-date cards include an orange stripe pattern across the top with orange damask along the bottom and a navy blue band of color separating the two. The invitation features the reversed design with navy blue damask across the top and stripes along the bottom with an orange band of color separating the two. We also designed matching RSVP and reception cards with the same patterns and colors.

These floral wedding invitations feature sage and mint green hydrangea and peony illustrations around an oval frame with a yellow band of color and matching RSVP card. An itinerary timeline reception card coordinates in the same sage, mint and yellow colors showing cute wedding icons of rings, champagne flutes, wedding cake, music box and fireworks to illustrate the day’s events. We also designed matching tall & thin two-sided programs with the same floral pattern framing the top and bottom of the card.

Completely personalized for this bride, these patterned wedding invitations feature a charcoal gray leafy, floral swirl pattern behind a dark purple abstract shaped frame. White text pops off against the dark purple background, including a poem written by the couple at the top of the invitation. A dark gray band of color runs across the middle of the invitation, and a reversed dark purple band runs across the matching RSVP card. A custom information card including a watercolor drawing of the couple created by the bride along with another poem asking their guests not to bring gifts completed this stationery suite. A dark purple belly band wrapping the three cards together included “Mr. & Mrs.” and the wedding date.
