This unique bride came to us with a vision. She wanted vintage, rustic poster style wedding invitations, but with flare and color. We incorporated all the colors her bridesmaids would be wearing, including brown, burgundy, green, purple and orange, into over-sized invitations with swirl accents and multiple fonts. We designed a custom map card with directions to the venue and a small reception card asking their guests to join them in the barn for “good food, good drinks and a great time.” The RSVP postcard was full of flare with cute and clever response options and space to include a song to make you boogie. And of course the fun didn’t stop there, the matching ceremony programs continued the theme and playful wording too!

FUN FRIDAY: Colorful Vintage Save-the-Date postcards
These vintage “Greetings from North Carolina” postcards feature an illustration from the North Carolina Postcard Collection in Wilson Library at UNC-Chapel Hill. With their permission, we reproduced the postcard on a cream linen card stock and added her save the date text in a blue handwritten script on the back of the postcard.

These modern wedding invitations feature peach and white tulips in a mason jar enclosed in metallic sangria purple pocketfolds. The front of the pocketfold is decorated with a square tag with the couple’s initials and mason jar full of tulips. The pocket holds four cards with tulips peeking in from the edges, including rehearsal, RSVP, accommodations and directions with map. We incorporated the same mason jar and tulips on matching ceremony programs, and the table numbers feature bunches of tulips in two corners. We also included the same peach and purple colors in a wedding thumbprint tree for the couple to use as their guestbook.

This bride wanted to pair a classic, vintage look with a modern touch, so these elegant wedding invitations feature a champagne floral pattern behind a oval shaped border with dots. Dark purple text added a touch of color to these invitations, printed on a textured, linen paper for a real vintage look.
